1981
Donald Whitted founded the Harvey Twisters.
Also, coaching the Harvey Twisters were Dean and Rennix James. The first
Twisters were Rueben Ingram, Steve, Joe, T.J., Renard Williams and
Donovan Whitted.
1982
The Twister team grew to eleven wrestlers. Quintroy Harrell becomes a
full-time coach. The team practiced at Harmon Park, what is now known as
Gloria Taylor. The uniforms consisted of cut- off shorts, t-shirts, and
gym shoes.
1983
Arnold Carroll, and Alan Long become full time coaches. The Twisters
qualify two for state meet…. Maurice Mance and Darrick Henderson (RIP).
1984
Quintroy Harrell becomes the head coach of the Harvey Twisters. Twisters
qualify five for State tournament. T.C Dantzler becomes the first
Twister to place at the State tournament by finishing 5TH. Maurice Mance
makes it to the finals and finishes 2nd.
1985
Twisters qualify seven for the State Tournament. Patrick Henley places
3rd.
1986
Twisters place for the first time in State Tournament as a team,
finishing 3rd. Twisters qualified six for State Tournament. Alvin Jones
becomes 1st beginner to qualify for the State meet. Ramon Terry took
3rd, while his twin brother, Lamon and Tuhan Waller finished 2nd. Steve
Williams and Eugene Browning are crowned the first State Champions EVER,
for the Harvey Twisters.
1987
Twisters re-write record books.Twisters win first State Title as a
team. Twisters qualify eleven for State Tournament. Placing 6th were
Terry Dantzler and Andre Davis. Placing 3rd was Tony Davis. Steve and
Joe Williams, Terrell Sandifer, James Quarles, Patrick McDonald, and
Todd Nesbitt, are all crowned champions.

1988
Twisters re-write record books again. Twisters win second State title in
a row by qualifying eighteen for State Tournament. T.J Williams and Don
Womack take 5th. Gerrod Lucas and Lewis Ledet place 3rd. Jason Pero and
Joe Williams finish 2nd. Milton Blakely, Tony Davis, Steve Williams,
Alvin Jones, Terry Dantzler, Andre Davis, and Patrick McDonald are all
crowned Champions.

Twisters win third State title, qualifying eleven for State Tournament.
Milton Blakely took 5th. Jason Pero and David Robinson finish 3rd.
Leonard Bowens and Michael Douglas take 2nd. Tony Davis, Lenard Randall,
and Joe Williams are crowned Champions.
1990
Twinsters win fourth State title in a row. Nine wrestlers qualified for
State.Durand Womack took 4th, Leonard Bowens and David Douglas
finished 2nd. Milton Blakely, Tony Davis, Jason Pero, and T.J Williams
are crowned Champions.
1991
Twisters win fifth State Title in a row. Twelve wrestlers qualify for
State Tournament. Roamelle Kizzee took 6th, while David Douglas finished
5th. Ricky Biggs took 3rd, as Leonard Bowens finished 2nd. Milton
Blakely, Tony Davis, and T.J Williams are crowned Champions.
1992
Twisters win sixth State Title in a row. Twisters qualify eleven for
State Tournament. Roamelle Kizzee took 6th, while David Douglas finished
3rd. Milton Blakely and Lashun Jackson took 2nd. Leonard Bowens, Tony
Davis, and T.J Williams are corwned Champions.
1993
Twisters place 3rd as a team… Streak ends at 7. Twisters qualify fifteen
for State Tournament. Raynelle Kizzee and Darnell Lollis place 2nd.
David Douglas and Roamelle Kizzee are crowned Champions.
1994
Twisters place 3rd in State at the Senior Division by qualifying three
for State Tournament. Raynelle Kizzee and Timmy Springs are crowned
champions.
1995
Only year the Twisters failed to place as a team since 1986. Six qualify
for State Tournament.
Raynelle Kizzee, Timmy Spring, and Richard Vortez finished 3rd while
Cassio Pero was crowned the lone champion for the Twisters.
1996
Twisters finished 3rd in State at the Novice Division by qualifying six
for State Tournament. Cassio Pero, Charles Lloyd and Timmy Springs are
all crowned Champions.
1997
Twisters finished 3rd in State at the Novice for the second year in a
row. Twisters qualify eight for State Tournament. Andy Betancourt took
6th while David Love and Alonzo Noble finished 4th. Charles Lloyd placed
2nd. Cassio Pero and Timmy Springs are crowned champions.
1998
Twisters are crowned State Champions at the Junior Division they also
finished 5th in the Novice Division. Jamal Muhammad, Christian Brantley,
Antoine Lowe and Thomas Webster take 3rd. Mario Morgan finished 2nd
while Travis Hammons, Jarvis Lowe, Sean Johnson, Chares Lloyd, Alonzo
Noble, Cassio Pero and David Love are all crowned champions.
1999
Twisters win second State Title in a row at the Junior Division and also
place 4th at the Novice Division and 5th in the Senior Division.
Johnathan Majors and Antoine Lowe placed 6th while Roddrick Verner took
4th. Ronald Parks and Sean Johnson finished 3rd. Lawrence Henning and
Mario Morgan took 2nd. Thomas Webster, Cartice Lloyd, Jamal Muhammad,
Christian Brantley, Chester McNeil, Travis Hammons, Charles Lloyd and
Alonzo Noble all are crowned champions.

2000
Twisters pull off a Daily Double by winning the Novice Division for the
first time and the Junior team won the State Title for the third time in
a row. The Junior team also won the State Team Championship. Albert
White, Chris Burns and Deangelo Lowe finished 6th while Titus Noble and
Thomas Webster finished 5th. Diontae Brown, Maurice Kimes and Carl Lloyd
take 4th as Terrell Webster, Harry Starks and Jarvis Lowe Came in
3rd.Cameron Lloyd, Jhared Black and Jose Betancourt took 2nd. B.J.
Futrell, John Burns, Lawrence Henning, Cartice Lloyd, Mario Morgan,
Travis Hammons, Jamal Muhammad and John Brandon are all crowned
champions.

2001
Twisters win fourth Junior Division State Title in a row. The Twister
Novice team finished 2nd while the Senior team placed 4th. Stephen
Williams, Maurice Kimes and Jarvis Lowe take 6th while Marcus Franklin
took 5th. Justin Starks, Malcom Kimes and Myron Kimes finish 4th.
Diontae Brown, Ryan Childs and Harry Starks took 3rd. Allen Tate, Thomas
Webster, Jhared Black and Danny Hamilton finished 2nd. B.J. Futrell,
Terrell Webster, Titus Noble, Cartice and Cameron Lloyd, Mario Morgan,
Travis Hammons and Albert White are all crowned champions.

2002
Twisters returns to the IKWF. The Twisters capture their 7th Senior
division individual team title, places 2nd in the novice.The Twisters
also captured their 5th Junior division individual team title in a row.
The bantams won their team regionals.
2003
Twisters Finished Junior State Runner-up
and Junior Dual Champs. The Bantams had most team points scored at the
all Bantam open
2004
The Twisters capture their 6th Junior
Division State title, Setting a State record on points scored.
Makeba Elliott becomes the 1st girl to win
boys State!
